Bai Xiaoci (Shen Xiaoming), photographer and blogger. Bai was born in 1974 in Shaoxing,  Zhejiang. He now works and lives in Shenzhen. Bai starts taking photographs from 2004 who pays attention to cities in China and its urbanization. His photograph works were selected by  "2007 Get It Louder", 2007 Shenzhen & Hong Kong Bi-city Biennale of Urbanism \ Architecture and 2007 China Pingyao International Photography Festival. His photographic blog, "50mm.cn",  has been selected the only Chinese blog for the Best Multi-media weblogs launched by Deutsche Welle for "The Best of 2005 International Weblog.

"Get it Louder `07" June-September, 2007. Guangzhou .Beijing . Shanghai

Get it Louder '07 includes ten keywords, which are neither the topical subjects of the exhibition nor the themes used to classify the exhibited works. Instead, they are a number of key points that I brought together from the thoughts and ideas expressed in the works after having visited many artists, as well as a few special projects that we curate. They are: Urban Strategy, New Materialism, Bioaestheitcs, Community Ties, E-topia, Guerilla Culture, Collective Memory, Perpetual Dream, Moving Soundscape and Homeshow.

The Biennale is a sustainably developing bi-yearly international cultural initiative. It utilizes the visual form to focus on city issues, benefiting from academic background but operating beyond disciplinary boundaries, open to the public masses, maintaining standard, independent performance.

"Public Building" is a photography series about the construction in towns of China.As urbanization and the expansion of the city continue unabated,the administative unit of the county has become the battlefield of urban and rural cultures under,leading county government buildings to emerge as a reflection of local government officials' will to profit rom urbanization. Here,images of 30 county government building are collected to present a typical landscape of Chinese urbanization .
